The Power Within

The binding of fear is incredibly strong

Fighting against it is immensely difficult

Causing many to lose heart

And subject themselves to

The discouragement

And pain.

Deep within

Lies a power few have discovered

One strong enough to break the bond

It takes hope

It takes courage

But it stands ready

Waiting, ever waiting

For those willing to brave the difficulties,

Plunge in

And obtain it.

Commentary:

Written for the purpose of using for an ending of one of my many experimental videos.  This was something I wanted to use as part of a message I wanted to convey as I told my story about the adventures of my first visit to Disneyland.  There were several videos I made as I tried to tell my story--it seems like some of the videos were more successful at telling the story than others.  This little poem sums up the main theme that I got out of it.
