From outside of the window I'm being serenaded
And a cool breeze is blowing the trees
As they cast shadows that dance around
I take a deep breath
It's a beautiful day
All is quiet and stillness whispers in the air
Another day is in progress
Another lesson is ready to learn
The sun's rays stream through like ribbons
Reviving and regenerating energy
Strengthening the will to try one more time
To face the chaos of the world
To be tossed
To be spurned
To be neglected, overlooked, or forgotten
To deal with personal mistakes
But still finding within that inner peace
The beautiful things a new day brings!
To open our eyes and to see things more clearly
To seek things never sought before
A chance to open the heart a little wider
Time for improvement and discovery
Oh, the adventures a new day brings!
