Dancing Haiku

 In the tree's shadow

A gentle breeze on my face

Dancing with the leaves

Commentary:

A simple poem for today, but it's quite appropriate since the moment I'm basing it off was also one of those simple moments in life. As summer is, it was a long hot day. I admit I've been spending the last few days dreaming of the upcoming fall and the cooler temperatures, but today the canyon breeze kicked in and cooled down the air to a more comfortable temperature. I was outside wandering around and found myself standing underneath our old and large apricot tree. The canyon breeze blew through those leaves making its own type of music and the movement of the leaves enchanted me, even to the point that I was consumed with a moment of joy, and I will admit it even brought me to the point of tears. Such a sweet simple moment to be uplifted by!

As a bit of a side note, it often saddens me that there are so many people who may not understand this feeling, because the opportunity to find it surrounds us everywhere. If it makes me look and sound weird, then so be it. I'm ok with this type of weirdness.
