Through the Dark Nights

Though the dark nights surround me now
And my mortal eyes see not
You whisper, I know not how
And speak into my thought
Sometimes I ignore your voice
Ignorantly I leave you
And give you pain by my choice
Because I knew not what to do
Still you stand there near my heart
Hoping I would turn to you
And never wish to be apart
And stand strong with what is true

Commentary:

This was a poem I wrote I don't know how long ago, but I discovered it on my facebook account this morning. After looking through my list of poetry on here, I discovered that I never posted it, so I'm making up for it right now. Here is this little poem that I wrote, and I'm guessing by the message that it was written during one of my troubled hours since I speak of imperfections. I have no additional commentary on it, because it is not a recently written poem, and the time has past too much to remember exactly all my thoughts when I wrote this, so just sit back and enjoy.
