The room stands silent.
I sit and listen.
What do I hear?
I'm wondering,
Thinking,
Reflecting.
Then, silence speaks,
Ever so gently.
Calmness rests in my heart.
My soul, settles in blissful stillness,
And with a keen sense of knowledge.
I'm not alone,
But watched over,
Remembered,
Loved.
Commentary:
I've been getting a little worn out with screen time on my computer and my phone, and thought that I really needed to take a little time to do some writing or other creative endeavors. That engages my brain better in the long run, anyway. This particular poem was a bit of a spur-of-the-moment poem, but I think it was needed. I think I've been needing a means to express myself for some time now to let things out of my system, and poetry has always helped me there.
This particular poem is written not only to express my thoughts, but also as a reminder that no matter how alone things might seem, there's never a time when I'm really ever alone.
