In the brightest glory,
Your light inspires.
The constancy in your presence
Brings my soul comfort.
Against the darkness of night,
You provide guidance.

When the world's chaos grows
Too busy and loud,
In a steady and calm stillness,
You firmly stand in place,
Waiting in incomprehensible patience,
Never altering your stark bright light,

Sweet, majestically beautiful star of light!
Commentary:
Getting in reflective mode here now. I'm thinking about the world as it is today, and how many things going on are so unstable, always changing. It seems to me that one of the things people are needing and desiring the most in times like this is a place to find stability, a place to turn to that they can know and trust will remain steady throughout all this chaos. This star very much exists, and we all may know it in different ways, but it's power and influence doesn't fade.
