Beyond, a bright glow of pinkish delight!
In the sunny and brightest time of day,
Sparkles in ubiquitous pure array.
The hush, the calm upon the world befall.
Wondrous flakes in a subdued gentle haul,
Dancing gracefully in joyful motions,
Lifting a soul with their childlike notions.
Commentary:
It snowed, so I had to write this in commemoration. I had to include the pink glow in there, because I love it when the snow conditions make it just right to create that pinkish hue. It generally occurs in the early morning or early evening, when the light is decreasing or increasing, I think probably around a similar time to the sunrise or sunset times. I think it's cool when it happens.
Anyway, here's to hopefully some more to come! I've slacked on what was supposed to be my annual holiday poem the past few years, because of having to take care of multiple people, but seeing as that number has reduced, well, not sure I have much of an excuse this year. I think part of that also had to do with my personal recovery from the personal issues I was struggling with at my former work. That, I think is on the upswing, so cheers to progress!
