Rejuvenated

 Slowly, the door closes, cutting out the light

A deep breath of fresh air enlivens me and I look up

A dark hue of blue is spread above me

Covered in random patterned sparkles

Some are brilliant and stand out among the crowd

Some are gathered in clusters

Several are only slightly visible

But united provide an inspiring display

A beautiful sight, I'm in awe

My energy is renewed, And my hope strengthened

Another day is coming. I'm ready to take it on

Commentary:

It's been a while. Things were busy for a while there for me, but some things I've had to deal with have been lightened, and I feel like now was a good moment to grab my little brain and write something down.

One of my favorite things to do on occasion at night is to sit outside for at least a few minutes and watch the night sky. There's still enough darkness here that I'm able to see the stars in the sky and reflect on whatever direction my brain takes me while the quiet begins to settle in. Sometimes, it's personal things, sometimes something I've been thinking about, and sometimes it's just a moment of not thinking anything except to enjoy the view. Wherever my mind takes me, it's always rejuvenated and recharged me, no matter if I stay out a few minutes or a whole hour. It's awesome!
